Appendix 1 – Magento Version Notes

The RAPID Web Sync Extension has been tested on as far back as Magento 1.4.2 using the Magento API to complete imports, and as far back as 1.8 using Magmi to complete imports.

Magento’s fields can sometimes change between versions. Below is a list of all known differences between Magento Versions of importance to these Sync jobs.

Version	Change
Magento 2.x and Up	Reindexing after importing products is no longer required.
Magento 1.7.0 and Up	Some fields previously found in the General Tab have been moved to the Description Tab. Under the Prices Tab, the cost field is no longer used and/or will not appear.
